“chuggachuggachuggachugaachugaachuggchuggachugga…” The train hammers down above me, moving with such frightening grace. These are the steel beasts we have grown our modern civilizations around, whose stream-lined and painstaking routines have shaped our every passing minute. “It’s still nobodies' car.” I think to myself.

That’s right - I don’t give a damn about the train. From Amtrak to Presto they’re all the same to me. Oh cool, another transit device that we are simply groomed to lean back and take. A hunk of metal we are fed with the promise of order and gaudy signage. Do you know what actually screams routine? Grabbing the bitch by the horns.

OH! OH! Nothing is so pleasurable to my mind as the immemorial sound of the engine sputtering to life. The paranoid sickness of knowing that the suburban behind me wants me dead. All of my Steely Dan CDs falling to the side whenever I caress the sides of the noble round-about. Oh pleasure, Oh routine, Oh the sweet poison of control.

While the train admittedly has the allure of interactive maps, beautiful infrastructure updates and a cooler miniature. It does not suit my mind. As above all else, even above my rather high RAAD-SR, I am esoteric. Vive La Conductrice.
